BBQ Jackfruit
It took me a long time to appreciate jackfruit, but now that I figured out the best ways to cook it, I truly enjoy using jackfruit as a meat substitute.

Ingredients
- 1 x 20oz can green young jackfruit
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp granulated garlic
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
Directions
- Prepare the jackfruit. Drain the liquid. Remove seeds. Break down the jackfruit into smaller pieces
- Coat with salt, garlic, onion powder, and cornstarch
- In a cast iron pan, add a small amount of cooking oil and cook the jackfruit on medium until lightly browned and crispy
- Add BBQ sauce to the jackfruit and cook until well combined and slightly caramelized
TIP: You can make this with your favorite sauce and add it to any recipe you like, as a meat replacement
